Shipping Policy
Effective Date: January 2026
Yiwu Machines utilizes Yiwu Shipping as its logistics provider. The following shipping policies, issued by Yiwu Shipping, govern all shipments arranged in connection with orders placed through Yiwu Machines
.1. Overview
This document forms part of our Sales Disclaimer and sets forth the shipping policy of Ovials Inc (operating as Yiwu Shipping). Yiwu Shipping specializes in comprehensive logistics solutions, including maritime shipping (sea cargo), air courier services, and air freight forwarding. Our shipping options vary depending on the customer’s delivery address, size and weight of merchandise, selected service level, and the carriers available on the specific route. To fulfil orders, the Company may engage third-party logistics providers, including but not limited to Yiwu Leso Supply Chain Management Company Limited, ocean carriers, air carriers, and last-mile couriers. The following terms apply to all shipments arranged through www.yiwushipping.com and its affiliated sales platforms.
- General Shipping Terms
2.1 Free Shipping
Some websites connected to Yiwu Shipping at checkout (www.yiwusales.com; www.yiwumachines.com; www.yiwutools.com; yiwuwuhardware.com; guangzhousales.com; etc.) offer free shipping worldwide on select products through our services. However, if the delivery address is classified as a remote area (as defined by the carrier), an additional surcharge may apply. Any such charge will be displayed during checkout or communicated within 48 hours of order placement.
2.2 Shipping Methods and Transit Times
Shipping times vary based on the method selected and destination. Estimated transit times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed unless expressly stated as “Guaranteed Delivery”.
– Maritime (Sea Cargo):
Typical transit: 20-45 days depending on port pair (e.g., Yiwu/Ningbo to US West Coast: 25-35 days; to Europe: 30-45 days). LCL (Less than Container Load) and FCL (Full Container Load) options available.
– Air Courier (Express):
Typical transit: 3-7 business days worldwide. Services include DHL, FedEx, UPS, and equivalent. Door-to-door tracking included.
– Air Freight:
Typical transit: 5-12 business days depending on airport pair and customs clearance. Airport-to-airport or door-to-airport options available.
2.3 Order Tracking
All shipments via Air Courier and Air Freight receive a unique tracking number. Maritime shipments receive a bill of lading number and container tracking where available. Flat shipping (economy) may not include tracking; customers may request tracking for an additional fee.
2.4 Shipping Fees on Returns
Return shipping costs are determined by the reason for return. If the item has quality issues or does not match the order, the Company pays return shipping. If the buyer returns a correct item without quality issues, the buyer bears all return shipping costs, including any initial shipping fees incurred by the Company.
2.5 Returns on Free Shipping Products
All merchandise remains subject to our Refund Policy regardless of the shipping method used. Buyers may return or request a refund for any eligible item as per Section 9 of the Sales Disclaimer.
2.6 Upgrading Shipping Method
By default, economy (flat) shipping may be applied. Buyers may upgrade to Priority Direct Mail, Express Mail Service, Expedited Shipping, Air Courier, or Air Freight at checkout. Upgrade costs are calculated dynamically based on weight, dimensions, and destination.
- Maritime Shipping (Sea Cargo) Specific Terms
3.1 Carrier and Routing
Sea cargo is transported by third-party ocean carriers (e.g., Maersk, MSC, COSCO, CMA CGM) under the terms of their respective bills of lading. The Company acts as a freight forwarder / NVOCC. Transit times are estimates and subject to port congestion, weather, customs, and carrier schedules.
3.2 Demurrage and Detention
Any demurrage, detention, or storage charges incurred due to buyer’s failure to clear goods or return empty containers within free time (typically 7-14 days) shall be borne solely by the buyer. The Company may invoice such charges separately.
3.3 Bill of Lading and Title
For FCL shipments, a negotiable or sea waybill will be issued. Title passes to the buyer upon surrender of original bill of lading or as agreed. The Company is not liable for delays caused by buyer’s failure to provide accurate documentation.
3.4 Insurance for Sea Cargo
Cargo insurance is not automatically provided. Buyers are strongly advised to purchase marine cargo insurance (e.g., Institute Cargo Clauses A, B, or C). Uninsured sea cargo is subject to carrier liability limits (typically USD $500 per package under COGSA/Hague-Visby Rules). The Company’s liability for uninsured sea cargo is limited to USD $200 as per our Refund Policy.
- Air Courier Specific Terms
4.1 Service Levels
Air courier services include express door-to-door delivery with full tracking, signature on delivery, and time-definite options (e.g., next flight out, 10:30 AM delivery). Buyers may select economy courier (slower but lower cost) or priority courier.
4.2 Prohibited Items for Air Courier
Dangerous goods (IATA regulations), lithium batteries exceeding certain watt-hours, liquids over 100ml, aerosols, perishables, and any contraband are strictly prohibited. Shipments found in violation will be abandoned or destroyed without refund, and the buyer may face penalties.
4.3 Weight and Volume Calculation
Air courier charges are based on the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight (L x W x H in cm / 5000). Buyers are responsible for providing accurate dimensions; any adjustment by the courier will be re-invoiced.
- Air Freight Specific Terms
5.1 Airport-to-Airport vs. Door-to-Door
Air freight is typically quoted on an airport-to-airport basis. Door-to-door services include customs clearance and final delivery at additional cost. Buyers must arrange or authorize customs clearance at destination airport. Failure to clear within 48 hours may result in storage fees and daily penalties.
5.2 Consolidation and Deconsolidation
LCL air freight shipments may be consolidated with other cargo. The Company is not liable for minor delays due to consolidation processes. Break-bulk fees at destination are the buyer’s responsibility.
5.3 Security and Screening
All air freight is subject to security screening by TSA (or equivalent authority). Any cargo flagged for additional screening may experience delays; no refund will be issued for such delays.
- Shared Terms Across All Shipping Methods
6.1 Contraband and Prohibited Cargo
The buyer bears full and exclusive responsibility for any cargo that is contraband, prohibited for import into the destination country, or restricted under applicable laws. This includes but is not limited to: narcotics, counterfeit goods, weapons, endangered species products, undeclared hazardous materials, and items infringing intellectual property rights. If such cargo is shipped, the Company shall not provide any refund, and the buyer indemnifies the Company against all fines, seizure costs, and legal expenses.
6.2 Cargo with Batteries
Shipments containing batteries (lithium-ion, lithium-metal, lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, etc.) must be declared at booking. Additional handling fees, UN38.3 test documentation, and dangerous goods declarations may be required. Failure to declare batteries may result in forfeiture of cargo and a penalty of up to USD $10,000 per violation. Peak season surcharges (typically October through January) apply to all battery shipments.
6.3 Peak Season Surcharges and Fuel Adjustments
During peak shipping seasons (e.g., Q4, before Chinese New Year, Black Friday/Cyber Monday), carriers impose surcharges which will be passed on to the buyer. Such surcharges are non-refundable even if the shipment is delayed, unless the carrier expressly refunds them to the Company.
6.4 Insured vs. Uninsured Cargo
Insurance is the sole responsibility of the consignee (buyer/importer). The Company offers optional cargo insurance at checkout. For insured cargo, refunds for total loss are limited to the insured amount, subject to policy terms. For uninsured cargo shipped through any Yiwu Shipping service or purchased via www.yiwusales.com, www.yiwumachines.com, www.yiwutools.com, www.yiwuhardware.com, or www.guangzhousales.com, the Company’s liability for loss while in its direct possession (before handover to carrier) is limited to the declared commercial invoice value, not exceeding USD $200 per shipment. No refund is available for uninsured cargo lost after handover to a third-party carrier.
6.5 Customs Clearance and Duties
The buyer is solely responsible for ensuring that goods comply with import regulations of the destination country. All customs duties, taxes, broker fees, and inspection charges are the buyer’s responsibility. If the buyer refuses to pay duties or fails to clear customs, the cargo may be abandoned or returned at the buyer’s expense, and no refund will be issued.
6.6 Force Majeure
Neither the Company nor its carriers shall be liable for any delay, loss, or damage caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, piracy, strikes, port closures, epidemics/pandemics, government sanctions, severe weather, equipment failures, or telecommunications outages. No refund will be provided for force majeure delays.
6.7 Time Bars for Claims
Any claim for loss, damage, or delay must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 7 days of delivery (for visible damage) or within 21 days of expected delivery (for non-delivery). Failure to comply with these time bars forfeits any right to refund.
- Unprecedented Events and Force Majeure Notifications
Should any unprecedented event, force majeure, or industry-specific condition hamper delivery, the Company will make reasonable efforts to notify customers via email or site banner. The Company will work to provide alternative solutions, including order cancellation or rerouting, on a case-by-case basis. However, the Company does not guarantee specific outcomes and disclaims liability for consequential damages arising from such events.
